bei zusätzlicher Soundkarte einfach mal im Bios die Sound-on-Board-Geschichte deaktivieren???
Bei S-O-B gab es mal einen extra patch, zumindest von DFI (<-- mein Mainboard)

Der Onboard Sound ist deaktiviert :sad: Hab im Bios auf Maxes Anraten so ziemlich alles deaktiviert was ich nicht brauche (on board sound, com und parallel ports)
Hab ne Creative Audigy Soundkarte.

Ums kurz zu machen:
Es gibt viele Probleme mit dem VIA chip.
Offiziell löst der aktuelle 4in1 alle.

Inoffiziell gibt es bereits eine beta version von VIA für einen bugfix der nur probleme behebt - noch beta.

Noch inoffizieller gibt es fixes die nicht von via kommen, aber angeblich effektiver sind. Leider hab ich die links dazu nciht mehr finden können.
Sowohl bei den beta als auch bei allen inoffiziellen treibern gibt es natürlich keinerlei Garantie für Schäden.
Übrigens: Mehrere Leute behaupten, dass unter XP keine Probleme auftreten, wenn man NICHT die VIA Treiber installiert, sondern nur die Standart MS. Bei ME, 98 usw solls genau andersrum sein.

Habe aber die beiden Patches mal ausprobiert. Also den 1.9 als auch als es keinen Vorteil brachte den 1.4. Leider keine Veränderung. Echt assig ich hab immer nur Pech mit Rechnern scheint mir. Da wollte ich mir demnächst ne neue Gfx Karte zulegen weil es meine GeForce 1 nimmer so bringt und nun kann ich die Kohle in ein neues Mainboard stecken obwohl meins erst 6 Monate alt ist :sad:

I would try changing agp-fastwrite and agp speeds but these only "prolonged" the problem. It usually would freeze with the sound loop maybe 30 seconds in the game. If I changed some of my agp configs in BIOS, it maybe would let me play for 5 minutes and then freeze with the soundloop. Someone also suggested changing onboard sound with no luck.
For people who have been saying this is not a sound card problem, it was for me. I have a Soundblaster Live! series card like MANY who have this problem. I read in an article that the sound card sometimes shares things with other programs and hardware when they are attacked to the motherboard close to other things such as the video card, ethernet cards, usb extras, etc. The article suggested to move the sound card to a slot as far away as possible from the video card slot. Attach all other necessary cards as close to possible as the video card maximizing distance from the sound card. Get rid of any useless cards you will not use.
After doing this, no problems. None whatsoever. No freezing, No soundloop. This has been the only fix that has worked for me and my cs is going strong for 1 month now with no freezes or sound loop. I have an Asus motherboard, but this fix also works for Via chipsets as well.

Hab zwar nicht die Life aber die Audigy, denke das wird sich bezüglich des Bugs nicht viel geben.
Stürzt dein Rechner auch häufig beim Zocken mit Soundloop ab Spike ?

ich hab auch gedacht, sobald ich den Onboard Sound deaktivier wirds besser.....käsekagge wars....eher noch schlimmer....das ganze had sich soweit hochgeschaukelt, bis der PC mal n kompletten Tag nich anging.... :sad:
