Problem mit Steam

Hallo Leutz!

Seit dem neuen Update von Steam/CS1.6 habe ich folgendes Problem:
Als ich Steam gestartet habe, wollte es sich das neue Update ziehen...aber mittendrin kam diese Fehlermeldung:

Alle drei Auswahlmöglichkeiten, diese zu Beenden ,Wiederholen oder zu Ignorieren brachten keinen Erfolg.
Daraufhin habe ich Steam neu installiert...auch aus der Registry!
Beim Updaten der Files für Steam und Counterstrike kam nochmal diese Fehlermeldung, wobei ich diesmal Ignorieren konnte und er weitergeladen hat.
Nun konnte ich wieder Serversuche und alles nutzen, wollte aber erstmal meine Config is den Cstrike Ordner einfügen. Dann hab ich Steam neu gestartet und dann kam das hier: Could not connect to Steam Network *bla*...
das macht Steam aber nun schon 2 tage und wenn ich den Status auf der Steam-Seite anschaue, dann steht da, dass Steam ONLINE ist. Andere Gamer sind weiterhin am Zocken...nur ICH nich *heul*
In den errorlogs im Steam-Ordner steht was von "Error:Steam error: SteamMountFilesystem(4293096183,3,0x243fbe0=,0x243fcf0) failed with error 1: Unsupported format version in FsTree block"

Kann mir da bitte einer weiterhelfen?...oder hat jemand das gleiche prob?

benutze übrigens "immernoch" Win98..aber auch bei XP scheint es dieses Problem zu geben (laut Foren)

Lösungsansatz 1 (sehr lang):

OK I have found a FIX it should work for a lot of you even the ones that have tried it before.

Pay attention take it slow have patiens ( I know how can I ask a bunch of CS, DOD, HL, .... To have patiens. ) Patiens my Ask me no questions I am going to kill something.

OK here it is.

REMEMBER DO NOT START ANY GAMES UP UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO!!!
In these Instructions this is very important

1. Log out and Exit Steam.
2. Take this slow.

3. Delete the following files. half-life engine.gcf, half-life.gcf, and half-life-localized.gfc
NOTE: I may have spelled the last one wrong as it is gone from my list all together.
This is in the SteamApps Folder. Don't worry about the other ones.

EDIT: Also remove the Platform.gcf / You may not need to remove the half-life.gcf, and half-life-localized.gfc

4. Restart your computer.
5. Do Not Go On line other than to be able to get steam online. Preferably without AOL or other web browsers on.
6. Start up steam and leave it alone!
NOTE: DO NOT try and start any of the Games!
7. Look at steams box in lower right hand corner are there ..... at the top?
Yes / GOOD go to # 11, No / wait awhile, If still No Go to # 8
8. Open the games window. Do Not Open any games yet! this is were you need patients
9. Click on HL to start game let it load leave it alone this is going to take awhile.
HL will load it will Finnish loading and a button will pop up to Finnish click it.
10. Again DO NOT try and Start any Games! Do not go into or start the HL game close the box!
11. Right Click on Half Life then click on properties check and see if under
Status has ### Kbs, this is a good sign especially if it is showing activity LEAVE IT ALONE!!! PATIENTS wait till it says ready to play.
Amount Required has ###%, This is a good sign especially if it is going UP. Again Leave it alone wait till it reads 100%
Off Line Mode says Ready. This is a real good sign.
12. After you get these check each game to see it they are up dating by checking the properties. Do Not Open Any Game to Play!
13. If other games and up dating and the dots ..... are above the steam icon in lower right hand corner this is good BUT again DON'T OPEN or Play any games till they have either loaded all the way or got stuck.
14. If none of the other games are loading and HL is loaded. Ready to play, 100%, ready then if you have waited at least 1-2 minuets after this then click on HL to play it.
Let it open up all the way wait a minuet then go in am play on a server for a little bit then change servers at least once.
15. quite HL game
16. Start HL game go to at least 1 server play awhile.
17. quite HL game
18. Log out exit steam.
WAIT
19. Open steam log in.
Wait
20. Check to see if dots ..... are above the steam icon in lower right hand corner
21. Check each game to see it they are up dating by checking the properties.

22. Yes, leave it alone till they up date read # 13 & 14.

23. No go to # 14-18 after 18 then restart your computer.

REMEMBER DO NOT START ANY GAMES UP UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO!!!

24. #'s 5, 6, 7, 8. skip 9 & 10 then 11 & 12 If games are loading don't touch or do anything leave it alone this takes patiens I know you want to play but trust me. wait till each game is ready to play 100% ready. wait an additional 1-2 Minuets then try and play always log out and exit before shutting down your computer at least for the next couple of times.

25. If they are not loading and are stuck again Retest HL play it again ETC then quite HL.
26. Log out again.
27. Shut down your computer then restart it do # 24 again

29. Once all games reach Ready to play, 100%, ready wait 1-2 minuets then try and play them 1 at a time follow the directions as for HL above.

If this did not work for you, you then either you have another problem or you were not patient enough to follow these directions.

Suggestion Print these out so you have them in hand when you work on your computer to get the games up don't try and do this by memory.

The problem seems to be that we were trying to get in to fast and jammed the upload up and that is why I have said take your time be patient or you may never play take it easy it took me several hours to do all these steps and try and remember what they were so I could write them for you all.

If you have other problem with this I will try and help but that seems to be what happened here.

Lösungsansatz 2 (kürzer, würde ich zuerst versuchen):

Sorry if this has already been solved, but...

1) Exit and LOGOUT of steam
2)locate Half-life engine.gcf (c:\Prog Files\Steam\SteamApps i think)
3)rename it (e.g.half-life engine BACKUP.gcf)
4)do the same for platform.gcf
5)re-launch steam, login and try launching the game again

This worked for me

and has anyone got any idea y my left and right key has stopped working?

die kürzere Version hat folgenden Erfolg:

Updating Steam Platform Files....

dann kommt die platform....ich kann alles machen...nur nich ins game launchen
, denn dann kommt wieder PreCondition Assertion Failed...bla...muh...mäh..*kotz*

ich denk mal, die erste version funzt dann auch net...aber der mudo muss es testen...*gähn*

un nich vergessen...immer schön weitersuchen nach hilfsmöglichkeiten

huhu!

hatte den selben fehler gestern auch... keine ahnung was des für ein dreck ist... es kam beim 1. mal updaten... mit ignoren kam ich zwar ins steam rein aba dort ging dann so gut wie nix mehr....(cs currently unavailable bla... und halt dieser komische fstree error) dann hab ich den ganzen dreck gelöscht und neuinstalled und wieder kam der fehler... daher hab ichs gestern aufgegeben... (mit der hoffnung auf die wundersame steamheilung... hat schließlich scha zig mal geholfen, sprich nächsten morgen nochma probieren... wenn die ganzen amis pennen)

heute vormittag also nochmal steam neuinstalled... und siehe da heute ging alles fehlerfrei... keine ahnung was des war, wahrscheinlich waren die steam server gestern bzw die letzten tage (vor allem abends) zu überlastet... also einfach weiterprobieren... dann sollte es wieda gehen! was für ein error das ist und wie man ihn auf andere art als abwarten beseitigt, weiß ich leider net

hiho...

da hab ich mich wohl zu früh gefreut... bin zwar 2 mal oda so problemlos auf nen server gekommen doch dann kam wieder die gleiche scheiße wie gestern...

wenigstens hat das steam forum für bissl klarheit gesorgt... demnach ist steam durch das neue update nicht mehr so ganz kompatibel zu win98, win98se und winme

valve hat scheinbar wieda mal ganze arbeit geleistet

also...ich hab nu alles neuinstallt...HL, CS und die ganze cheatergame-sau-steam-mist-huren-piss-shice...

danach : "FatalError No Content Server Available please try again later...MUH"
die andere Fehlermeldung is jetzt weg...komme aber überhauptnicht mehr ins §&$&(((-Steam rein...nur noch bis zum login-fenster..

btw: das mit dem win98 hab ich auch gelesen...is irgendwie bei dem neuesten patch dabei

hab es heute selbst installed und es rennt nun *wirklich* (hoffe ich zumindest) normal... hat ja nur 2 updates nach dem win98kaputtmachupdate gebraucht bis es wieda geht...

einfach neu druffmachen und probieren

Bis ich bei allen Componenten ( platform.gcf usw) unter Status 100 % stehn hatte.
so...trotzdem hasse ich CS
